In depth

Verdict

Eagle Roque has the form in the book having found only one too good in both starts to date. However, he didn’t have much in hand over debutant Dancingwith Storms at Leopardstown earlier this month and this could turn out to be an above-average bumper with several of the newcomers Flat-bred and unlikely to be short of pace. Hammerstein is one being a Dansili gelding out of a Galileo mare. State Of Cognac is by Fame And Glory and Edelweis De L'aube is a half-brother to a winner on the level in France but Redfield is a full brother to a winning hurdler. YOUNG TED failed to quicken in a slowly-run race at Gowran in January but will hopefully get a stronger gallop here and can recoup losses.
