In depth

Verdict

Lord Gayle has been running really well despite his defeats and has been hampered by having to carry a penalty for his victory in a bumper, which he is again stuck with here. Noble Pageant has some strong form to his credit but disappointed at Limerick last time and has had plenty of opportunities though not nearly as many as Dizzy Rascal, who now has 30 starts over hurdles without winning. SHRAPNEL won a point-to-point on good ground two years ago and has been going nicely in much more testing conditions over timber. He looks to have plenty in his favour and can gain his first success under Rules.
