Sharp Reply is taken to get his head in front here with Rio Riva and Guadiaro rated as the main dangers. The selection hails from the Sir Michael Stoute yard and he was bitterly disappointing last time at Ripon when he quite simply failed to handle the heavy ground. This faster surface will suit and he looks to have a leading chance based on his debut effort at Doncaster when he was fourth behind Tasdeed. Rio Riva was second twice as a juvenile but he showed there might be more to come this season when he was a good third behind Foreign Edition at Doncaster earlier this month. The extra furlong should suit and he is taken to score. Guadiaro is another who will be suited by the slight step-up in trip and he did little wrong when finishing second behind Oranmore Castle at Newmarket last time. However, he was the stable's second-string that day, so he is clearly nothing special and a place may be the best that he can hope for here. Desert Lover made a pleasing debut and is another who might be capable of going well at an each-way price, but for the winner we will stick with Sharp Reply.
