Verdict
This looks a cracking good and competitive handicap with several in-form stayers lining up for the two-mile event. Phil Kirby's Andorn has done little wrong of late, winning three of his last fours starts, latterly when successful at Redcar but a 5lb rise for that win makes this tougher. David Simcock's Any Given Moment has harshly gone up 6lb for his win at Ffos Las last month so of more interest may be Blazing Desert. John Quinn's gelding has improved with each start this term and has every chance racing off just a 2lb higher mark than when successful at Sandown last month but he is not certain to get the longer trip today. Marcus Tregoning's Lady Hestia seems to be in the grip of the handicapper now and preference is for RAWNAQ. Mark Johnston does well with stayers and this son of Azamour showed improved form when stepping up to this trip when chasing home Keenes Day at Beverley last time; he can go one better today.
