Numero Due, Villago, and Graham Island are the three to consider and preference is for Numero Due, who was a decisive winner last time. Villago¿s one win came over the course and distance two outings ago and he must be respected now he returns here but he was well beaten into fourth at Pontefract last time and there may be others with more pace. Graham Island is sent up to North Yorkshire by Geoff Wragg and after his narrow Catterick success he is another to consider but that was only his second win and his first for over a year. Top weight may be too much of a burden for him to carry. Numero Due was a very impressive winner at Carlisle, slamming an odds on favourite in the process. That was not an unexpected success after some good runs in defeat and the three-year-old is taken to be too good for his elders as he receives weight all round. Numero Due gets the vote.
