Grand Opera, Katchit and Demelza are the three to catch the eye in this intriguing contest where there is little solid form and Katchit may prove good enough.Grand Opera is a good yardstick here and has been placed in his three starts to date. His best run came at York when third to the useful Silent Times but there is the suspicion there may be one or two too good. Mick Channon¿s son of Kalanisi, Katchit, may appreciate further in time but there was a lot to like about the way he ran on his debut at Newbury, finishing fourth in a nine runner affair. That was a good effort but it¿s difficult to work out how good a race that was. Damelza ran a cracking race on her debut, finishing third at Doncaster over six furlongs. She was staying on at the finish and this extra furlong may suit but the Doncaster contest has not worked out. Despite the question mark over the Newbury form Katchit is given the vote.
