This might be a bit of a lottery as the field is likely to split into at least two groups on leaving the stalls. If a low draw proves to be an advantage, the race-fit Tommy G would enter calculations. Conditions won’t be a problem for course and distance winner Royal Connoisseur and the in-form Roger Fell runs Kody Ridge, who won at Southwell in January. But it may to stick with those drawn nearer the stands rail with Lanjano having a decent chance off bottom weight. Dirchill, at the opposite end of the handicap, is also worth a market check but Ruth Carr is covering the options with three runners. COSMIC CHATTER has plenty in his favour, not least the fact that he is now a pound lower than when scoring on similar going at Pontefract last year- he gets a tentative vote.
