A tough finale can go to Miacarla, who can get the better of old rival Steel city Boy, while Toy Top and Spiritual Peace are others to place on the shortlist. Spiritual Peace has form on most types of ground and should again run his race. However, a bit of rain will not go amiss where he is concerned. Toy Top is consistent enough to bear in mind for a place-play, as he should also cope with the going. He does come here on the back of a below par effort though and now has a bit to prove from his current mark. Steel City Boy is lightly raced this season and posted a fair effort at Beverley last time out. However, he was no match for Miacarla on that occasion and, as Alan Berry's filly appears to have gone unnoticed by the official assessor, she makes the most appeal for a punt in a truly wide open spring handicap. Especially if, as is expected, the speed unfolds on the stands side.
