Verdict

Likely pace setter Mysterial goes well for this apprentice and receives no penalty for a game success in what proved a competitive apprentice contest latest. There's a real possibility though he'll be taken on for the lead by the consistent Chant, flagging up the likelihood of the pair becoming embroiled in battle at too early a stage and setting things up for a late closer. Blushing Red is one such possibility as he's on a good mark and lightly-raced but this is a first outing since a gelding operation and old stager ITLAAQ is preferred. He's not going to progress at 11 and ran modestly last time but remains more than capable at his best, has conditions to suit and an improving young apprentice to claim a helpful 5lb. Stablemate Up Ten Down Two is also of interest.
