Eric Alston had a sprint winner here earlier this week and his lightly-raced Maid In India has useful form in the book in a higher class. However, this is her first try at the minimum trip and, allied to this being her seasonal reappearance, she is passed over despite being one to watch this term. Melonade has a similar profile and is one to note in the market on this comeback run. She looked quite useful in landing her first two starts but something was presumably amiss when last of 12 at Sandown last autumn. Maureb has claims but is dropping back in trip and a hopeful vote is awarded to MARSEILLE. She has few miles on the clock, was very consistent last term and shaped well on her first start back when a close-up seventh at Newcastle, only beaten two and a half lengths in fair handicap company.
