Another large field goes to post for this maiden and the market may prove the best guide as to what is expected but a chance is taken on Coranglais. He is from a yard in form and showed enough when third behind Maguwenna on her last run last season to suggest she can win a race of this nature. Summer Special was second behind Cetra Cito last time out and a reproduction of that effort would see him go close. Moyanna was a fair fourth behind Sheriff Star on her last run last season and is another to consider in a wide open affair. Hiccups is a half-brother to a five furlong winner and he is from a shrewd yard so any market move should be heeded. Winthorpe has shown a modicum of ability in similar contests but he is more exposed than most. Premiere Grand a good second on his debut on the AW is sure to improve and if he acts on the turf he is another that could go well.
