Another wide open affair in which many can be given a squeak but a chance is taken on Raphael who was a good second behind Shanook at Catterick last time out. He will be hard to beat with Dave Allan taking off a handy five pounds. Golden Brief was a good fourth behind Lygeton Lad last time out on the AW and a reproduction of that effort would see him go close. Marshallspark is well weighted on his best form but showed very little on his debut this season and has a bad draw to overcome. Locombe Hill would also be worthy of consideration if the market spoke in his favour but his best efforts have come with more cut in the ground. Warden Warren is well in on his AW form but he has yet to reproduce those efforts on turf. Common Thought is another from a yard in form and he could go well at a big price with conditions in his favour. Of the remainder William's Well is from a shrewd yard and should be noted in the market.
