Able Charlie made a pleasing debut at Doncaster in a competitive race and is taken to score here at the main expense of Thunderwing, King's Account and Andy Mal. The selection finished second behind Cammies future on his debut over 6 furlongs and with the slight step up in trip also in his favour he looks the one to beat. Thunderwing has to be shortlisted after a decent effort on his debut when third behind Strawberry Dale over this course and distance. He shaped well on that day and with further improvement likely he should go well. King's Account is a well-bred colt from the Mark Johnston yard so has to be respected, but he looks the type who may do better over further in time and he is probably best watched on his debut. Andy Mal is another well-bred newcomer and with the Richard Fahey string in good form he should be noted in the market. However, Able Charlie looked like one to follow on his debut at Doncaster and as such he is put forward as the one to beat.
