        Verdict

        Recent form is thin on the ground in this with Sophisticated Heir finishing tailed off when starting favourite at Ripon last month. Ifwecan also started favourite last time, at Catterick, but was last of the seven runners while Kiwi Bay weakened quickly at Ayr behind Fort Bastion and tends to run his best races at Redcar. COMINO is back on the same mark as when beaten less than a length at Catterick in October. He may be able to dominate this from stall one and can reverse running in the Thirsk Hunt Cup with Kiwi Bay, despite being a pound worse off.
