Danetime Lord, Imperial Sword and Peter Island are the three to concentrate on in this competitive finale and the vote is given to Peter Island. Peter Island is well-boxed today and he should take plenty of beating as he overcame an unfavourable draw to score in decisive fashion when beating Glenview Youngone last time. That was a good performance and a reproduction of that effort should see him get his head in front. Danetime Lord has been in good form recently, and he will be suited by the return to this trip after failing to get home over a mile at Beverley last time. He is not ideally drawn though and that will make life tough for him. Imperial Sword finished a good second behind Sandwith last time over the minimum trip, but his only career win was over today¿s trip and from a fair draw he certainly has claims. The Thrifty Bear ran well for a long way at Ripon last time before fading in the testing ground, so on this faster surface he could go well at a price. However, for the winner we will stick with Peter Island.
