The three-year-old Borodin runs in this rather than the 4.35 but only one of his age group has won this in the last 10 years. Sea Fox had been placed off this mark in handicaps before winning a classified stakes at Lingfield. Well drawn, he should be prominent again but War Glory will do well to gain a good position from an outside draw and Helovaplan, two from two around here, hasn’t fared much better with regard to a starting berth. SWIFT EMPEROR shares top weight but 10lb covers this field and he was running well off similar marks last year. It’s three years since he last won on Turf but he finished close up in the Lincoln Trial at Wolverhampton in the spring and a repeat of that effort would see him go close. Whatsthemessage and Seduce Me are others with a chance but the likes of Dark Intention, Mon Beau Visage and Mikmak all need to up their game.
