    Verdict

This is a tricky race to assess with little form to consider, but Mark Johnston's debutant, Always Best is taken to live up to his name, ahead of fellow debutant Babieca and Cassie's Choice. The grey, Babica will be easy to spot and can play a prominent role, despite this being his debut. He is out of a dam who is a half sister to the top class Mukadammah, and the yard had three winners at the Northumberland Plate meeting. The market should be heeded, and it would not be a surprise to see him in the shake up. Cassie's Choice is the pick of those with experience, running creditably at Hamilton on her bow, before finishing a close third at Ayr last time. She will be hard to beat. However, a chance is taken that Always Best can make a winning debut. He hails from a sprinting family with a winning record, and although not bred in the purple and perhaps one of the cheapest purchases in the yard, Always Best is taken to maintain his trainer's excellent form.
