Verdict

Flying Lion, Bridget's Team, and Dispol Splendid are the three for the shortlist in an intriguing seller, and Pat Haslam's Bridget's Team is taken to appreciate a drop in grade. Flying Lion had been knocking at the door in similar grade before winning a seller at Redcar in decisive style last time. With that success under his belt, he can give a good account of himself here, although our suspicion is that he may struggle in this better race and carrying his penalty. An inexpensive purchase, Dispol Splendid is sprint bred, and it is a surprise to see the filly dropped in grade so quickly after a reasonable debut at Carlisle in maiden company. She finished fourth to an experienced individual and must go well here especially as her trainer has a good record at his local track. Pat Haslam always enters his runners to give them winning chances, and his Bridget's Team looks to have a winning chance here. She was hampered on her debut at the track but kept on very well to be an unlucky third. That was only a claimer, but this represents a drop in class and Bridget's Team can come on for the experience and take this.
