Verdict

Espada is on a longish losing sequence but has dropped down to a most attractive handicap mark and looks capable of capitalising judged on recent efforts. Jeremy Glover's charge put up a much improved display when runner-up at Leicester on his penultimate start having led at the distance and was then staying on strongly over six furlongs behind a well handicapped rival on his latest outing at Pontefract. From his low draw, the six-year-old can regain the winning thread at the chief expense of Tedstale who won twice last term and shaped promisingly on his comeback behind the useful Island Light last month. More Sirens won over the course and distance last time but has more to do off a 6lb higher mark in this higher grade while Dayglow Dancer disappointed in the Lincoln and may struggle again under top weight on ground that is plenty lively enough.
