Verdict
Ephorus looked impressive on his return to the track and is taken to win again at the expense of Laterly and Saleima. The selection could be potentially well handicapped here after winning well at Pontefract last month. He looked a horse that could easily win off a mark in the 80¿s and even though the ground will ride faster than it did the day he won he is still a horse to stay on the right side of. Laterly has run two fine races in defeat this season and he was not beaten far at York last time out. That said the handicapper might just have the measure of him now so he is a horse to treat with caution. Saleima runs in her first handicap after being highly tried against listed company. She was blatantly outclassed that day but will fair better in this grade. Plenty here with chances but for the winner we will return to Ephorus.
