Verdict

Deadline Diva heads the weights but is back at a more realistic level. Course and distance second Le Ligerien appears to be back in form but has ground to make up on Bang On and a drop back in trip may not suit Ascot runner-up Dorking Boy. Poucor put race fitness to good use at Plumpton but is closely matched with Fresno Emery on that run. Bardd is 0-15 over hurdles but is entitled to respect on his best form but the vote goes to HIGHWAY TO SUCCESS (NAP). The three-year-old, a former Gordon Elliott inmate, was much improved in first-time headgear at Wincanton last week and escapes a penalty.
