held up, mistake 3rd, went 2nd 11th, joined leader 12th, shaken up and led approaching 3 out, clear 2 out, idled flat, easily
led to 6th, chased leader, lost place 11th, mistake 12th, held off
chased leader, led 6th, not fluent 12th, ridden and headed approaching 3 out, stayed on same pace
This three runner beginners' chase should be the proverbial penalty kick for Forever Dream, with Peeyoutwo likely to be his only serious rival barring disasters. The Philip Hobbs yard are in decent nick and Forever Dream, although unproven over the trip, has run as though he will get three miles, and particularly when the race is unlikely to have any serious pace to it. He handles the ground, jumps well enough in the main, and has very little to beat. Peeyoutwo might take issue with that, especially as his best effort over fences came over this sort of trip at Uttoxeter in the spring. His best chance looks to be to try and make it from the front and exposed any stamina in the selection, but his three most recent runs have not given cause for optimism and so we take Forever Dream to score.
