Division one of the maiden hurdle can go to Cutthroat, but a number of others have to be considered, including Foodbroker Founder, Master Mahogany and Star Prize The selection caught the eye staying on late behind Manorson over course and distance last time, and that rates a solid-enough form at this level, so his chance is there for all to see. An 84-rated handicap winner on the Flat, the David Elsworth-trained Foodbroker Founder, who stayed 10 furlongs on the level, has to be considered, and if Dangerous Dan McGo can get back to the type of impression he made when fourth to Royal Paradise at Sandown on his bumper debut, then he would be interesting. Master Mahogany made a very pleasing hurdling debut over course and distance when third behind the decent Daryal and Jorobaden and, although he did not progress from that last time, must hold claims at this level. Of the others, Eccentricity has shown promise but lacks a recent run; The Player won over seven furlongs on the all-weather on the Flat and showed some promise on his hurdling debut; Star Prize did not show too much on his hurdling debut but, at that time, his stable was under a cloud, and he drops in trip today. And, based on his Flat form, Presenter has the potential to be better over hurdles than appeared to be the case at Huntingdon last time, and All Things Equal, who was second over a longer trip here last time behind the useful It's Just Harry, is another to seriously consider. Finally, the 10-furlong Lingfield all-weather winner, Blazing The Trail, is from an interesting stable, while Charlie Bear showed some promise on the Flat but not on his hurdling debut last time. All this said, we turn again to the selection, which is Cutthroat.
