Verdict

SHINTORI went up 11lb for scoring over 2m3f at Plumpton, when Brother Bennett was a long way behind, and looked a certain winner when leading at the last over 2m1f back there last month but found little on the run-in. He may not be one to put the mortgage on but this isn't the toughest of races and he gets another chance. Chivers, five times a winner on the Flat, went up 11lb for his Boxing Day victory at Fontwell and has been unable to cope but Western Morning scored over fences at Leicester before a poor run when reverting to hurdles at Huntingdon.
