In depth

Verdict

Push The Tempo won a point in Ireland just over a year ago and went on to complete a hat-trick under Rules in impressive fashion. He was taking on Grade 2 company at Chepstow last time and wasn't helped when impeded early in the race so the drop in grade will aid his cause. Alrightjack won a Fontwell bumper then put a moderate hurdling debut behind him with a comfortable victory at Lingfield. There's more to come from Jamie Snowden's charge as there is from Espion De Saflo, a very easy winner at Nantes in November though that was on heavy ground. MYPLACEATMIDNIGHT went up 9lb for landing a Wincanton handicap in January and has been narrowly beaten in two subsequent starts over that track, the latest on Thursday. He's given the nod to return to winning ways.
