Not as competitive as this looks on paper and this hunter chase can be taken by Epsilo De La Ronce, with The Bounder a potential danger. Steve Flook's 11-year-old will have his stamina tested to the full here, and though he has generally been campaigned over shorter, he has always looked as though he could get home over further, so he is worth chancing in a race where there are plenty of question marks about the opposition. Not the easiest of rides, Epsilo De La Ronce tends to needs kidding along in his races and if he takes the spoils he is likely to have felt the whip once or twice along the way. However, he does respond to being driven and vitally he relishes the fast ground. He can score. Meanwhile The Bounder is proven over three miles in the past and has been some useful sorts in his time, so cannot be discounted. Third in a point recently after a long lay-off, he should come on for the run and can go close. Of the remainder Esprit De Cotte stands out, but he does not win very often and in any case would prefer juice in the ground.
