The ground is just right for Stars Delight and he should have too much speed for his rivals here, though Valfonic and Lord York can give him a race. The selection has top weight, but a useful-looking amateur on his back in John Best to take 7lb off and that can just sway things his way. Six-years-old, he goes on a sound surface and was just run out of it at Huntingdon recently by Veneguera, which was a decent comeback effort after two months off. With the benefit of that run, he can come good here. Lord York has made the switch back from chasing to hurdling and has been going well enough. He ran second to Smith's Landing at Wetherby on Thursday evening after doing his usual job of leading for much of the way. Arguably this trip is still a little bit far for him to be at his best, but he can again go well. However, the main danger to the selection looks to be Valfonic. Granted he needs to return to form after a poor effort last time, but he is back on a winning mark here and conditions will suit, so improvement is anticipated.
