Peter Bowen's Kings Riches was pushed out to make a winning debut at Exeter last month and he has to be respected but may struggle under his penalty today and preference is for Michael Appleby's MINELLA, who gets the vote over stable companion Midnight Fun. The last mentioned has the benefit of experience after three starts and she ran her best race so far when a creditable third behind Cinderella Rose at Warwick when last seen in March and she has solid claims with the yard in good from. Mercury Bay has shown reasonable form in Irish points and has to be considered on his rules debut for Keith Goldsworthy, who has a good record in bumpers, while Sohappyharry has run well in two starts in this grade over course and distance and should be thereabouts again. Preference though is for Michael Appleby's Minella, who raced no fewer than six times in points in Ireland, being placed on four occasions, and he looks worth siding with here having run promisingly on his rules debut when fifth behind Eleven Fifty Nine at Worcester.
