Peter Bowen's LAST FLIGHT deserves to get his head in front having found just one too good in each of his last two starts at Cartmel and over course and distance and he can go one better today, gaining a well deserved first success over fences with the main dangers rated as Kanad and Indian Pipe Dream. The Steve Gollings-trained gelding disappointed in a handicap at Market Rasen earlier this month but previous form at the same venue and at Cartmel reads well so he has to be respected. Irish point-to-point and hurdles winner, Gougane, has claims on his British debut but needs to improve on all known form to trouble the judge, while Paul Webber's Tribe is an unknown quantity over the larger obstacles but had some respectable form over timber so cannot be discounted. Kanad has shown improvement in recent starts over fences so has to be respected but Last Flight is the clear form pick and looks the one to beat.
