Prolific all-weather winner Carter was rather novicey on his hurdling debut over this C&D and never got to grips with the front-running Street Dance. But Ian Williams' charge is 3lb better off today and will have learned from the experience. Kilburn didn't stay much beyond 1m on the Flat but was hugely impressive when making a winning debut over timber at Plumpton and should make a bold bid to follow up. Preference, however, is for LAVA LAMP who also scored at Plumpton last time, beating Highly Regal by nine lengths. The four-year-olds has improved in leaps and bounds over the last few months and is taken to confirm that progress today. Ballinteni and Big Time Billy, who fell when odds-on at Aintree on her hurdles bow, may be best of the rest.
