Verdict

A good prize up for grabs here and naturally a competitive field has been drawn, with Lady Myfanwy the suggestion, with Robbers Glen and Rydal Park among a host of others with chances. The selection jumps and stays well and handles most ground. She is also full of confidence after a superb string of wins and she can make the most fo the sex allowance to take the money here. Robbers Glen is another running up a sequence and has to be respected with stamina his forte. However, we'll take him on here on the basis that he is unproven on faster ground. Rydal Park should handle the surface and was a runaway winner at Huntingdon last time. His owner, trainer and rider knows how to win this race so the gelding has to be short list material. Marblehead acts on the surface but did not get home over shorter at Cheltenham last time, which is a concern for backers, and Whizzaar is tried over this far for the first time and is therefore unexposed and a potential danger if handling this quicker ground. A really intriguing hunter chase then and we'll take Lady Myfanwy to score.
