Second here and at Chepstow last autumn, HEAD LAD has disappointed since but he’s slipped down the weights and the booking of the champion catches the eye for Jonjo O’Neill’s charge. Blue N Yellow has placed twice over longer trips since scoring at Exeter in May but seems stuck on his current mark. The fact that Caracas is 0-26 in career starts if off-putting but he stayed 1m6f on the all-weather so this sort of trip should suit. He’s not the most resolute but has shown some ability over timber. Kiruna Peak is still 5lb higher than when scoring over 2m at Huntingdon in May.
