Verdict

SAGARICH ran well in defeat last time out at Uttoxeter and she is fancied to see off the challenge of Crazy Bold, Aspolan and Falsino. Mick Quinlan's mare has top-weight on this first foray into handicap company but she doesn't look too harshly treated on a mark of 102. Despite being only modest on the flat she looks sure to make up into a useful hurdler and she should appreciate this longer trip and any rain that falls. Phar Again was pretty good over fences for Emma Lavelle but didn't show much last time for a new yard and he may need the visor back on, Aspolan is slowly edging down the handicap, whilst Crazy Bold was a Wetherby winner in May and whilst that was a weak race he still needs consideration given a good effort in defeat last time at Newton Abbott. Falsino has been a big price in all of his starts over hurdles; there was more promise on his latest start however and if he is supported in the betting then it would be a bit ominous. Danish Monarch has a 9lb higher mark for a selling win last time, Bankstair was pulled up lame last time but his previous third to Hunting Tower at Towcester in May reads well, whilst Classic Shot could be well-treated having won off this mark of 84 over fences last time. An open race, where we will side with Sagarich.
