CLASSIC SWAIN has started to fulfil his early potential and he can defy his penalties here and give a comprehensive beating to Twill, Seader and Chalentina. Connections appear to have found a fairly weak race for Classic Swain and it could be an easy pot to pilfer. A winner at the track back in June, a deluge of rain would ask a few questions, however this progressive son of Swain has responded very well to the application of the blinkers back in April and should win this easily. Eddie Dowling has 25 lengths to find on their last clash, so a bigger threat could be Consulate. The ex-Irish gelding is well-bred and he ran a good race behind King Keano here in June. Twill represents shrewd connections and his effort at Ffos Las in June reads well, whereas Chalentina may have been flattered by his second to Tri Nations at Fakenham in May. Of more interest then is Seader who was just an average miler on the flat in Ireland but he has joined a top yard and any market move on his hurdling debut would look significant. This looks to be another chance for Classic Swain to swell the Ditcheat coffers.
