INDIAN BLOOD gets the verdict here with Nearby and Princeful offered as alternatives. Paul Nicholls' gelding was a winner at Newbury earlier this year before falling last time out. The five-year-old was travelling well and looked the likely winner until coming down at the last. He comes up against lowly company here though and should his confidence remain in tact then he can run away with it here. Nearby was a winner last time out and had been progressing steadily this year. It has to be noted that that win came in a very poor race but the gelding has been on the up this year and he should be there or thereabouts at the finish. Princeful got off the mark for his current connections at the third attempt recently. He has scope and looks just the type his trainer tends to do very well with and the gelding should make the frame. Of the rest few look like serious dangers but Long Distance and Highest Esteem look best. Both have been in decent form of late and can pose a threat to the selection if the race is run to suit but for the selection we return to Indian Blood.
