Verdict

Cremant can usually be relied upon to run his race and ran his best effort to date over fences last time. He seems to be getting the hang of chasing as he gains experience and is well respected. However, he does have to concede weight to a couple of improving sorts, of which SERJEANT PAINTER makes most appeal. Clearly suited by going left-handed, the Pauling inmate has landed his last two chase starts over 2m at Southwell but is also tried and tested over this longer trip. He also has a course win to his name. Cardboard Gangster also looks on the upgrade and was quite cosy in wining at Perth last time but steps down considerably in trip and may find this a little sharp. He remains a danger though. Felino De Bersy is hard to assess on this chasing bow.
