Verdict

There's little between the top four in the weights but there are a few question marks about some of them. Cawthorne Lad has a first start since mid-March and does have a tendency to throw in the odd bad run here and there, whilst course and distance scorer, Templehills, has been most disappointing since his victory here in October. He looks best watched for now. Salley Gardens houses exemplary form figures and must be taken very seriously but has only had the one run over fences when easily winning a three-runner affair. He has to give 5lb to ETAT MAJOR AULMES, even though the Signy inmate has far more fencing experience and has impressed the last twice. Gavin Sheehan gets on well with selection who is taken to complete the three-timer. Fresh New Dawn looks to have plenty to do.
