In depth

Verdict

5.20 The concluding bumper could prove to be a decent one in time with some of the top stables represented and the Paul Nicholls runner POUNGACH getting the vote ahead of Point Blank and Call Me Friday. Nicholls has a really good strike rate at this track with his bumper horses having saddled four winners from seven runners. That's an exceptional record to have and a market check is strongly advised on the champion trainer horse. Point Blank is from yard that also does well at this track in the bumper sphere. Jonjo O'Neill is two for nine here and his well bred son of Oscar must be noted in the market. Point Blank is from the family of Champion Hurdle winners Morley Street and Granville Again so he is bred for the job and has the services of the champion jockey. Call Me Friday made an encouraging debut as did Christy Ring but Pounhgach gets the vote.
