NANOTECH won this a year ago from exactly the same mark and suffered in subsequent handicaps as a consequence. He returned to action over an extra furlong at Naas a month ago and though only mid-division behind today's rival Partner he can take his revenge as the winner had the advantage of a previous run and has gone up 9lbs. The last time Fly By Magic won a race was in 2007 when she narrowly beat Gandolfini conceding 20lbs. The latter has improved since then but Patrick Carey's mare looks nicely handicapped these days and could go well at a fair price. Bean Uasal is in fine form at present but the minimum trip on fast ground may prove too sharp for her.
