Verdict

Aidan O'Brien's newcomer SCOTTISH REEL still holds entries in the Derbies at Epsom and the Curragh as well as the St Leger. The son of Sadler's Wells out of Moyglare winner Necklace will be suited by today's trip and gets the nod against some interesting opposition headed by Kaladena, who caught the eye when staying on over a mile at Naas on her debut last month. Another newcomer, Endearing, is definitely one to keep an eye on as Dermot Weld's daughter of Selkirk is related to some very useful middle-distance winners though a lack of big-race entries tempers enthusiasm slightly.
