In depth

Verdict

Ex-Irish Captain Mac is taken to come out on top ahead of Iceberge and Mister Bean. Captain Mac is still a maiden after 16 starts in Ireland, but was a fair seventh over fences at Listowel in September, and in truth meets nothing of note on his first outing on these shores. Iceberge has managed to pick up a couple of hurdles victories during his career but was tailed off when pulled up last September and will surely need the run, and indeed the experience. Mister Bean has been absent along time and switches from the point-to-point circuit so is another that is hard to fancy. Captain Mac is the best of a poor bunch really, and only a small wager is advised.
