In depth

Verdict

Laoch Dubh is given a narrow vote in a wide open contest, Nayodabayo and Simonovski are two others worthy of respect. The selection didn't jump too well here last time out on his British debut and in the end was pulled up. However he is better judged on his previous effort when a close up third to Wlls Wilde in a decent race at Punchestown. The smaller obstacles should help him get his jumping together this afternoon he will prove hard to beat. Nayodabayo is not the most consistent of performers but won a seller in great style last time out and should go well despite top-weight. Siminovski ran well on slower ground last time out when third to Dumaran. With ground conditions back in his favour he has to be a major threat. Tony Carroll's Meadow Hawk could prove best of the others, but Loach Dubh does look on an attractive mark and he gets the nod.
