In depth

Verdict

A trappy novices handicap chase here but something has to win and the principals look to be Salesin, Beautiful Night and Pongo's Nephew and the vote is given to Beautiful Night. The selection was a fair seventh in a handicap hurdle behind Ouh Jay last time out. Is sure have to come on for the run and have been well schooled for this her chasing debut and with a first time tongue tie likely to bring about improvement she looks the one to be on with Harry Skelton taking off a handy 10 pounds. Salesin rates the main danger on his latest third behind At The Money in a hurdle. He is another that is sure to have been well schooled but the fact that connections have already gone for the blinkers is off putting. Pongo's Nephew had every chance until falling two out last time out. If his jumping holds up he will be a danger to all but that is a big if. Royal Master hails from a yard in top form and was a fair fourth behind Oniz Tiptoes on his chasing debut he is sure to have learnt from the experience and he will not be far away. Of the remainder Charge It looks the stables second string on jockey bookings but Tony McCoy would not be able to do the weight and he is another worth a look in the market, but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum Beautiful Night gets our vote.
