Bill Owen, Acertack and Lusaka De Pembo are three against the field in this competitive handicap chase and the narrow nomination is given to Bill Owen. The selection was a fair second behind Cape Stormer last time out. That form looks solid and under similar conditions and off the same mark here he looks the one to be on. Acertack rates the main danger on his latest second behind Just Muckin Around., but his best form is with more cut in the ground and he has yet to win over this trip so he looks opposable. Lusaka De Pembo was a fair third behind Fieldsofclover last time out and is another with place claims but he looks vulnerable off the same mark here.Magic Route is another that could go well on his best form but he has two ways of running and under top weight again he looks vulnerable. Of the others Ossmann travels well but finds little off the bridle and with this in mind for the winner we return to Bill Owen.
