    Verdict

Eila may be good enough to make a winning chase debut in this company with Thenamescapesme and Humid Climate others for the short-list. This has a competitive look to it but it's not a great contest and the selection has shown enough over hurdles to warrant selection. Nigel Twiston-Davies' yard is chase orientated and it would be no surprise were his mare to find some improvement for going chasing. Her dam won over fences and was related to some smart chasers so there's some scope on that score and track and trip should be ideal. Tom George's yard has a similar reputation and he has regularly exploited handicap marks earned over hurdles in chases over the years. Thenamescapesme wears cheekpieces for the first time and is one to keep an eye on in the market. Humid Climate bounced back to form last time and remains feasibly treated from his revised mark. Jupon Vert is a fairly reliable sort, Musical Gift has shown some form but it's the nature of a race like this that not many can be ruled out with complete confidence; the suggestion is Eila.
