Granite Man, Montevideo and Tashkandi are three against the field in this wide open affair and the narrow vote is given to Granite Man. The selection won in the style of a progressive type when beating Dr Curello last time out, granted he has a penalty for that win but he has conditions to suit and he looks a value bet in an open affair. Montevideo rates the main danger as he won well last time when beating Shining Joy but this looks tougher and he will need to have improved again to win off this mark. Tashkandi is another worthy of respect on his latest second behind Jacaranda especially as the longer trip looks sure to suit and he should be noted in the market. Of the remainder On The Outside returns to hurdles on a fgair mark but he is at his best when allowed to dominate and as that does not look likely he looks worth taking on. Maidestone Monument is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he looks weighted up to his best and in a race where few can be ruled out for the winner we return to the progressive Granite Man.
