San Hernando, Kayf Aramis and Equilibria are the three against the field here and preference is for Equilibria. San Hernando was a bit of a disappointment last time but he tends to reserve his best efforts for this track and commands respect. His last win was last October here and he is only five pounds higher. He advertised his well being with a close second over a two furlong shorter trip two outings ago but its worth pointing out that he does prefer some cut and the ground is drying out. He has been campaigned over three miles over hurdles so the trip will not be a problem. Kayf Aramis won a competitive event at York over half a mile further in May and is five pounds higher today. He has failed to reach the winners' enclosure since but was only just touched off last time at Warwick and is only raised a couple of pounds. He is another who would prefer some ease in the ground though. Equilibria is five pounds higher than when justifying favouritism at Chepstow on his latest outing on the Flat and although that was over half a mile shorter, he has subsequently won over two miles three furlongs in a Fontwell handicap hurdle. He is taking a rise in grade here but his performances have been consistent and Equilibria is the selection.
