In depth

Verdict

Placed twice at Ludlow around the turn of the year, FLASH THE STEEL landed the odds in a modest maiden at Southwell in May. That experience should stand him in good stead here and he may be able to defy his penalty against newcomers Browndodd and Flemenco Tempo, who also represent powerful NH yards. Tight Call ran third at Galway in August but there were only five runners and he has his first run today for Tim Vaughan.
