READY TO CROWN takes the eye here and is preferred to Boo and Sam Whiskey, while hurdling debutant Greyt Big Stuff could also be a threat so should not be underestimated. The last named has not raced for the best part of two years, though. And there has to be a suspicion he will need the run; even though Venetia Williams is more than capable of having him bouncing fit for his return. Sam Whiskey was a multiple winner on the Flat in Germany and will no doubt be given plenty of encouragement with Tony McCoy in the saddle. He made a satisfactory start over hurdles last December and, given time, he can be expected to pay his way before too long. The much travelled Boo is on a stiff mark on the Flat, so reverting to jumps appears to be a logical move. He has experience of this course and will be a danger to the selection if he truly gets the trip. However, Ready To Crown looks a more suitable candidate to stay the distance and, given that she that she has been kept sharp by a number of spins on the all-weather, Andy Turnell's mare is taken as the one to be on as she turns her hand to her true vocation.
