ANGLE OF ATTACK is narrowly preferred to Bo McGinty and The Cuckoo. The handicapper has been a little harsh in penalising him 3lb for a recent near miss but the five-year-old, while modest, has a pretty fair record around here and is reunited with Graham Gibbons, who was in the saddle when he obliged in December. Bo McGinty in his pomp would have won a contest of this nature with ease. He is regrettably now on the downgrade and it could be that six furlongs is his trip rather than the bare minimum. The Cuckoo has put up a couple of decent performances at the Nottinghamshire venue in the past and it would be no surprise to see money around for him in the betting ring. Mr Funshine won here earlier in the month though was unable to follow up at Wolverhampton off the 4lb rise. La Capriosa pops up occasionally and has finally been dropped to 58 by the handicapper having appeared almost stuck to a non-winning mark of 60 for some time. A typically competitive sprint and Angle Of Attack has the most pressing claim to it on this occasion.
